JAKARTA FLOOD 2025: Pyridam Farma (PYFA) Distributes Vitamin Aid Through BNPB to Flood Victims.
Jakarta, March 7, 2025 – Although the floods in several areas of Greater Jakarta are gradually receding, the burdens faced by flood victims include cleaning residences filled with mud and debris, material losses, the need for cleaning equipment assistance, and various post-flood illnesses that are prone to attack.
Based on observations on Friday, March 7th at the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) Logistics and Equipment Warehouse in Jatiasih, PT Pyridam Farma Tbk, now known as PYFAGROUP, a publicly listed pharmaceutical company on the Indonesia Stock Exchange, promptly distributed vitamin aid to flood victims in Greater Jakarta.
This emergency response was realized through the “Million Vitamin Movement” CSR Program, providing approximately 50,000 vitamin tablets, distributed via BNPB. The vitamin donation was handed over at the BNPB Logistics Warehouse, with PYFAGROUP’s Chief of Strategic Development Officer, Dr. Widjanarko Brotosaputro, accompanied by Corporate Communications Manager, Leilanie Nadia, present. BNPB was represented by Nadira Nur Seha, Director of Logistics and Equipment Management.
PYFAGROUP’s Chief of Strategic Development Officer, Dr. Widjanarko Brotosaputro, stated, “We express our concern over the flood disaster that struck Greater Jakarta. Therefore, we acted swiftly to deliver this assistance directly as a form of our care. We hope this vitamin aid will alleviate the burden on flood victims. We would like to thank BNPB and all the volunteers who helped distribute these vitamins to the victims,” he emphasized.
Meanwhile, PYFAGROUP’s Corporate Communications Manager added, “We asked some victims, and they haven’t received vitamin aid yet, and they are already complaining about weakened physical and psychological conditions. We hope the vitamins we provide can maintain their body’s immunity, as many are vulnerable to post-flood illnesses like coughs and colds, as we witnessed.”
The aid distributed by PYFAGROUP included vitamins like Imudator, Pyfakof Ivy Syrup cough medicine, Damuvit C 1000 Vitamin, Holi Pharma Vitamin C, and Holi Pharma Vitamin D. This aid is expected to help maintain the endurance and immunity of the victims in their current condition. Citing the Indonesian Ministry of Health, several diseases are prone to attack flood victims, such as diarrhea, skin diseases, and acute respiratory infections (ARI). Therefore, providing vitamins to maintain immunity can help preserve health conditions.
BNPB will distribute the vitamins systematically and gradually to each family, starting from the closest radius to the BNPB Jati Asih, Bekasi Warehouse. This distribution will coordinate with neighborhood heads in affected areas to ensure smooth and targeted delivery.
“We are very grateful to PYFAGROUP for their attention and swift action in responding to the flood disaster that struck Greater Jakarta in early March 2025. BNPB will map the distribution of these vitamins to ensure they are targeted and optimal. Many victims are vulnerable to diseases due to post-flood environmental conditions,” said Nadira Nur Seha, Director of Logistics and Equipment Management at BNPB.
One victim, met in a refugee tent at the BNPB Logistics Warehouse, also stated that no vitamin aid had been received in their area until now. Therefore, the “Million Vitamin Movement” program is very helpful for them in their current exhausted condition, having spent days in tents and having to clean their homes from thick, dried mud.
The “Million Vitamin Movement” program, initiated by PYFAGROUP, exemplifies positive synergy between the government and the private sector in flood disaster management. This humanitarian activity is a form of deep concern for flood victims in Greater Jakarta.
