Jakarta, 23 September 2020. Mobile Polymerase Chain Reaction Lab or better known as Mobile PCR Lab, plays an important role in efforts to deal with the spread of Covid-19 in Indonesia. The existence of the Mobile PCR Lab is very important, because it can help detect patients exposed to Covid-19 more quickly, so that the decision will be faster to isolate or treat patients exposed to the virus in order to cut the spread of Covid-19.

Ryan added that the Mobile PCR Lab provided by Pyridam Farma has met the health protocol standards set by the World Health Organization (WHO). In the Mobile PCR Lab, we have provided various virus testing equipment, such as PCR machines and their supporters, PCR reagent test kits and consumables and PPE. This PCR car also meets PCR laboratory safety standards. It is planned that there will be more than 10 PCR cars prepared to meet the needs of PCR swabs in Indonesia, 2 of which can be operated by Tirta Medical Center. In the near future, other PCR Lab cars will finish manufacturing and as soon as possible
helping the community and government to detect and stop the spread of Covid-19.
“The Mobile PCR Lab already uses the latest technology with a capacity of 1,000 tests per day and the results will come out approximately 2 hours after the examination. With the Mobile PCR Lab operated by Tirta Medical Center, Pyridam Farma hopes that it will further assist the community, agencies and government in detecting the spread of Covid-19 so that it will be faster to break the chain of spreading the virus, “said Ryan.

Through the Mobile PCR Lab, we believe that it can be faster and more accurate in detecting the presence of viruses in the body, whether those who are indeed in certain sick conditions, have symptoms of Covid-19, or have no symptoms of Covid-19 at all, which is better known as OTG (People Without Symptoms) or asymptomatic.
