PYFA Production Facility in Cianjur Officially Certified ISO 45001:2018, Strengthening Its International Standard Management System

CIANJUR, 16 March 2026 – In an effort to strengthen safe and sustainable operational practices, PT Pyridam Farma Tbk (PYFA) has reaffirmed its commitment to implementing international standards by obtaining the ISO 45001:2018 certification for its Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS). This achievement complements the ISO 14001:2015 certification for Environmental Management Systems, which the company had previously obtained.

The implementation of ISO 45001 marks an important milestone for the pharmaceutical industry, particularly at the manufacturing level. The standard serves as a key foundation to ensure that occupational health and safety management systems operate in a structured, preventive, and sustainable manner. It enables companies to identify and control operational risks, ranging from exposure to active pharmaceutical ingredients and the use of chemical solvents to the operation of high-technology machinery. As a result, it helps minimize workplace accidents, maintain production continuity, and safeguard product quality.

Bedjo Stefanus, Director of PT Pyridam Farma Tbk (PYFA), explained that achieving the ISO 45001 certification reflects the company’s long-term commitment to building a safe, sustainable, and internationally standardized operational system. 

“ISO 14001 has served as the foundation for our responsible environmental management practices. With the achievement of ISO 45001, we are further strengthening this commitment by implementing an internationally recognized occupational health and safety management system. We hope this will enhance the company’s sustainability, strengthen consumer trust, and create added value, including supporting improvements in the Domestic Component Level (TKDN) score,” said Bedjo Stefanus.

As part of its long-term commitment, PYFA will continue to conduct regular evaluations and continuous improvements across all implemented management systems to ensure consistent product quality. This commitment is reflected through the strengthening of occupational health and safety management via ISO 45001 certification, as well as responsible environmental management through ISO 14001.

In addition, this initiative aligns with compliance requirements set by Indonesia’s National Agency of Drug and Food Control (BPOM). The implementation of ISO 45001 also reinforces corporate governance and PYFA’s commitment to the social aspect of ESG, while further enhancing stakeholder confidence in the company’s safe, reliable, and responsible operations.
