Jakarta, February 19, 2025 – PT Pyridam Farma Tbk (PYFA) or known by the brand PYFAGROUP has announced the Independent Commissioner Mr. M Syamsul Arifin passed away on February 18, 2025 at 16:14 at MRCCC Siloam Semanggi Hospital, Jakarta.
PYFAGROUP expresses its sincere gratitude and highest appreciation to the late Mr. M. Syamsul Arifin for his dedication and guidance during his tenure as Independent Commissioner and Chairman of the Audit Committee since 2020.

Mr. M Syamsul Arifin, was born in Surabaya on November 16, 1962. He completed his Assistant Pharmacist School education in 1970, majoring in Accounting at the Faculty of Economics, Airlangga University in 1976 and at the Asean Institute Management Manila in Marketing Management, HRD Management, and Total Quality Management in 1978.
He served as an Independent Commissioner since 2015 and was re-appointed in 2020 until now. Before becoming an independent commissioner and chairman of the audit committee of PT Pyridam Farma Tbk, he served as Managing Director of PT Sampharindo Retroviral Indonesia (2019 – 2023).
He also served as Chairman of the Board of Ethics of the Indonesian Pharmaceutical Companies Association (GPFI) in 2014 – 2023.
Not only that. He also served as the president director of PT Kimia Farma from 2008 – 2012 and served as the president director of PT Indofarma from 2006 – 2007.
In addition, he also served as finance director of PT Kimia Farma (2002 – 2006) and served as Secretary General of the Central Board of the Indonesian Pharmaceutical Companies Association (GPFI) from 2003 to 2006.
