Description

COMPOSITION  :
Each film coated caplet contains 500 mg Spiramycin equivalent with 1.500,000 iu.

PHARMACOLOGY  :
Spiramycin is a marolide antibiotic acting by inhibit the bacteria protein synthesize. It is active against gram – positive
especially patogen bacteria in respiratory tracts  : Streptococcus, Staphylococcus, Pneumococcus as well as some gram –
negative bacteria : Neisseria ganorrhaea, Hemaphilus influenza, B. Pertussis.

INDICATIONS  :
Spiramycin  effective for the treatments of  :
Upper respiratory tract  : rhinopharyngitis, laryngitis and sinusitis.
Bronchitis or asthmatic bronchitis.
Skin and ear infections.
Other infections caused by microorganism hypersensitive to Spiramycin.

DOSAGE  :
Adult        :  1 caplet, 3 times daily during 5 days for the severe infections  :  2 caplets, 3 times daily.
Children   :  50 – 100 mg / kg body neigh daily in 2 – 3 divided dose.

CONTIONS  :
Special care Should be taken to patients with impaired liver and renal function.
It is suggested not to be use to patients in the 1st  trimester of pregnancy.
Safety in using to babies is not established.

ADVERSE  REACTIONS  :
Nausea, vomiting and diarrhea can develop after high doses.
Abdominal and epigastric discomfort and mild abnormalities of the skin have been reported.

CONTRAINDICATION  :
Patents hypersensitive to the macrolides
