PYFA Supports Mandatory Halal Certification for Pharmaceutical Products, Confirms Ethica Farma Products Are Halal Certified

JAKARTA, February 23, 2026 – PYFA reaffirms its strong commitment to supporting government regulations on mandatory halal certification for pharmaceutical products. As a tangible step toward this commitment, the Company announced that its subsidiary, PT
Ethica Industri Farmasi (Ethica Farma), has completed halal certification for its injection and sterile drug product lines.

This initiative represents the Company’s proactive response in complying with Government Regulation No. 42 of 2024 and the guidance issued by the Halal Product Assurance Organizing Agency (BPJPH), which stipulates that after October 17, 2026, products must use the new Indonesian Halal Label.

Antes Eko Prasetyo, Director of PYFA, emphasized that the Company did not wait until the regulatory deadline to comply with the requirement.

We recognize that halal assurance is a crucial aspect for patients in Indonesia.
Therefore, we have taken early steps. This reflects PYFA’s dedication, particularly Ethica’s, in providing a sense of safety and comfort for the Indonesian public in accessing healthcare services. Our support for the halal campaign goes beyond regulatory
compliance; it is also part of the Company’s long-term strategy to enhance the competitiveness of the national pharmaceutical industry at both the domestic and global levels. We hope that Ethica’s products will be more widely accepted and provide
peace of mind for patients.

The certified products include various injectable formulations used in healthcare facilities, which are manufactured at the Company’s production facility in Cikarang, West Java.

In line with BPJPH Head Decree No. 145 of 2022, PT Ethica Industri Farmasi has also begun implementing the Indonesian Halal Logo (Purple Gunungan) on its product packaging.

PYFA’s commitment to halal product assurance is not limited to its operations in Indonesia (Pyridam Farma, Holi Pharma, and Ethica Farma). Probiotec, one of Australia’s leading pharmaceutical manufacturing companies that is now part of PYFA, has also obtained halal certification. This step ensures that PYFA’s product quality and halal standards are maintained globally, from its production facilities in Cikarang to Australia. Through the integration of halal
certification across multiple countries, PYFA is ready to become a strategic partner for the government and healthcare institutions in building a national healthcare ecosystem that is halal, safe, and internationally recognized in quality.
